LCCObject::setMaxSplats

Chapter 06.30 / 07Manual version v0.6.4English

Sets the maximum number of rendered Gaussian splats.

When the actual rendered Gaussian splat count is below this value, rendering proceeds normally. When it exceeds this value, the LOD is automatically adjusted to a lower level to fit the budget. On low-performance platforms, set a smaller value for smoother rendering.

Version Requirement

SDK v0.4.0+

Engine Support

Three.js / CesiumJS

API

LCCObject::setMaxSplats(value: number): void

Parameters

ParameterTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
valuenumberYes3000000Maximum number of rendered Gaussian splats.

Return Value

void

Usage Example

lccObject.setMaxSplats(2000000);

Notes

  • This method can be called synchronously immediately after LCCRender.load().
  • When the set value exceeds the total LOD0 splat count, the SDK performs full-quality rendering without LOD switching, yielding better quality. It is recommended not to exceed 10 million splats.
  • Different hardware platforms support different splat counts; adjust based on actual conditions.
  • LCCObject::setMaxNodeSplats()
  • LCCObject::setMaxDistance()
  • LCCObject::getLodInfos()
