LCCObject::setMaxNodeSplats

Chapter 06.29 / 07Manual version v0.6.4English

Sets the maximum number of Gaussian splats per node.

The SDK automatically adjusts the LOD to adapt to this value. On low-performance platforms, set a smaller value for smoother rendering.

Version Requirement

SDK v0.5.0+

Engine Support

Three.js / CesiumJS

API

LCCObject::setMaxNodeSplats(value: number): void

Parameters

ParameterTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
valuenumberYes-Maximum Gaussian splats per node, e.g., 1500000.

Return Value

void

Usage Example

lccObject.setMaxNodeSplats(1500000);

Notes

  • This method can be called synchronously immediately after LCCRender.load().
  • This method only applies to LCC format; it is ignored when loading LCC2 format.
  • Note the difference: setMaxSplats() sets the global maximum rendered splat budget — the actual total of rendered Gaussian splats will not exceed this limit. setMaxNodeSplats() sets the per-node maximum splat budget. Since LCC format uses a tiled structure, setting setMaxNodeSplats() prevents a single node from containing too many Gaussian splats, which could otherwise affect overall rendering quality and clarity.
  • LCCObject::setMaxSplats()
  • LCCObject::setMaxDistance()
